Beaver Men’s Hockey Gameday – Game 23 – January 11, 2019 – vs Alaska

The Beaver Mens Hockey team returns home from a two-week road trip to Air Force and Bowling Green by hosting the Nanooks of Alaska. BSU hasn’t hosted Alaska since 2015.

Alaska arrives at Sanford Center looking to shake a four-game losing skid. The most penalized team in the WCHA, averaging 21.5 penalty minutes per game, is led in scoring by freshman Chris Jandric, who has 11 points (3g-8a) which includes a team-best eight helpers. Older brother Steven, a sophomore, leads the team in goal scoring with five. Defensively, UAF has allowed 3.43 goals per game to rank ninth in the league. Rookie Gustavs Grigals leads the Nanooks’ goaltending crew with a 4-4-0 record, a 3.08 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

    having grown up in md and having gone back to school in MD before transferring to Bemidji:
    Cold for MD is anything below 40.

    I went back a couple years ago for a hs event and my classmates yelled at me for wearing shorts. it was like 32 outside. I told them that was a heatwave for me.
    the mid-atlantic region does not handle snow well. they are getting better compared to when I was a kid.

    what is and is not allowed at the outdoor rink Friday night?

    are they clearing out the parking lot before Saturdays men’s game or should we take the shuttle?

    my brother just outside of Baltimore says its 26 there right now & the wind chill is also 26.
    their high for tomorrow in Baltimore is 32.
