Beaver Men’s Hockey Gameday – Game 30 – February 9, 2019 – at Ferris State

The Bemidji State University men’s ice hockey team (13-12-4; 11-8-2-1 WCHA) looks to take five of six points this weekend at Ferris State in Big Rapids, Michigan.

The two teams tied Friday night 3-3, with the Beavers winning in the 3-on-3 overtime as Charlie Combs scored with less than 10 seconds left in the second overtime.

    Hi Brian, We haven’t “emailed the booth” lately, but I was very interested in your thoughts on Ferris’s questionable (unethical) tactic of throwing an extra player on the ice to try to stop our last minute rush. He was a couple of strides short of interfering with Charlie. Would we have prevented that Ferris goal in regulation if we had had a 6th player jump the boards and played the last 25 seconds knowing we would get a penalty for “two many men on the ice” if the time was stopped. I am not sure that we should be using that questionable tactic. (from an old Faculty Representative) Tom & Sandy Richard
