Beaver Fever Friday – Clair DeGeorge and Owen Sillinger

The Bemidji State women’s and men’s hockey teams have each added a series to their respective nonconference schedules. Dates have been set for previously postponed series versus Minnesota State University, Mankato. Both BSU hockey teams will travel to Mankato, Minn. the weekend of Dec. 17-19 to face Mavericks.

The BSU women will open the four-game the weekend of play versus MSU with a 2:07 p.m. puck drop Dec. 17, while the series finale is set for 2:07 p.m. Dec. 18. The series was originally slated for Dec. 4-5 at Sanford Center but was postponed to allow the Beavers to complete the WCHA’s return to competition protocol for COVID-19.

The BSU men’s team will go head-to-head with the Mavericks beginning with a 7:37 p.m. opening faceoff Dec. 18. Game two of the series, and the weekend finale, will take place at 5:07 p.m. Dec. 19. This series was originally scheduled for Mankato, Minn. Nov. 27 and 28 but was postponed to allow the Mavericks to complete the WCHA return to play protocol.
