Senior goaltender Kerigan Dowhy turned aside 39 shots and senior Lydia Passolt supplied a goal for the Bemidji State University women’s hockey Friday but it would not be enough as Minnesota State University, Mankato scored twice during the final 4:30 to steal the Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest, 2-1.

The Beavers now fall to 1-5-1 overall and 1-5-1 in WCHA play while the Mavericks improve to 3-7-1 and 3-7-1 in league play.
