Bemidji State honors nine seniors in final series of 2020-21

The Bemidji State University women’s hockey team honors its nine seniors in part of senior weekend for the Beavers’ final series of the 2020-21 season. Mak Langei, Lydia Passolt, Kara Werth, Abby Ecker, Lindsey Featherstone, Tina Kampa, Paige Beebe, Clair DeGeorge and Kerigan Dowhy have all spent the past four seasons with the green and white and will be honored by Bemidji State. The Beavers (2-14-2, 2-14-2 WCHA) host St. Cloud State University for senior weekend Friday, Feb. 26 and Saturday, Feb. 27. Game one between the Beavers and Huskies (4-12-1, 4-12-1 WCHA) is slated for 3:07 p.m., Friday followed by game two Saturday at 1:07 p.m.

Bemidji State and St. Cloud State will meet for the 100th and 101st meetings in the all-time series history. The Beavers lead the all-time series record at 48-41-10 (.535) and are 25-17-4 (.587) when playing in Bemidji.

Bemidji State and St. Cloud State have already met for two series during the season with BSU going 1-2-1 against the Huskies and has featured three overtime games. In their last meeting, Bemidji State went 0-1-1 against the Huskies in St. Cloud, Minn., with SCSU opening the series with a 3-1 victory but BSU responded with a 2-2 tie in game two. The Beavers were led by senior Paige Beebe in the series who posted a goal and assist while Clair DeGeorge and freshman Taylor Nelson each scored a goal. Senior goaltender Kerigan Dowhy stopped 44-of-48 shots in the series and posted a .917 save percentage and 1.94 goals against average in the series.

The Beavers are 1-3-1 in the past five games against the Huskies with four of those games having gone into overtime.

Bemidji State is led by senior captain Clair DeGeorge who has posted 14 points (6g-8a) in 18 career games against SCSU while fellow senior Lydia Passolt, who didn’t play in their last series, follows with seven points (3g-4a) in 11 career games.

Senior Kerigan Dowhy has appeared in five games in net against the Huskies and has posted a 1-3-1 record to go along with a .906 save percentage and 2.35 goals against average.
