Women Struggle Out Of Gates, Lose Second in NSIC Play

Bemidji State fell behind 22-2 early, and could never recover, losing to Crookston in NSIC play 83-55 on Saturday.

Bemidji State was paced by Sam Baldwin’s 12 points and seven rebounds. Eight of her points came in the second half. Morgan Lee came out of the break with no points but helped the Beavers win the second half, 39-32, with seven second-half points. Fellow freshman Melissa Borstner tallied her third double-figure scoring night of her five-game BSU career with 11 on the night. She added four rebounds and three assists.

Bemidji State will wrap up nonconference play on Tuesday against the College of St. Scholastica before returning to conference play against Winona State University and Upper Iowa University next weekend, including next Saturday’s game broadcast here on the Beaver Radio Network.
