Beavers Give Free Tickets for Halloween Weekend Games

The Bemidji State University Athletic Department has announced special ticket deals for the Halloween weekend. All youth, 12th grade and under, will receive free admission to the BSU soccer match versus University of Mary Friday at 3 p.m., and the 1 p.m. football matchup with Southwest Minnesota State University, and the Beavers’ volleyball match University of Minnesota Duluth at 4 p.m. Saturday.

In addition, fans are encouraged to embrace the Halloween spirit and come to the game in costume. Five BSU students in costume will be selected from the Beaver Dam Student Section to participate in a halftime costume contest. The winner of the will go home with a 42-inch smart TV courtesy of Midco.

The BSU soccer team enters the weekend unbeaten in its last 18 matches (16-0-2). The 13-0-2 Beavers have been ranked among the top 25 teams in the nation for six consecutive weeks and have risen to No. 6 in all of NCAA Division II this week—the team’s highest ranking since it was No. 3 Oct. 16, 2018.

The BSU football program improved to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the NSIC’s North Division Saturday after taking down No. 16 University of Minnesota Duluth, 42-35. The Beavers received votes in the AFCA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll for the third week this season and are slotted No. 6 in Super Region 4 poll.
