Beavers resume play by hosting No. 7/6 Minnesota Duluth

Bemidji State returns home after its bye weekend to host No. 7/6 Minnesota Duluth. In their last action, the Beavers traveled to No. 1 University of Wisconsin, Nov. 6-7. BSU went 0-1-1 against the top-ranked Badgers after earning a 0-0 tie in game one. Wisconsin earned the extra point in league standings after winning the shootout 1-0. The Badgers then rolled to an 8-1 victory in game two.

Sophomore goaltender Hannah Hogenson powered the Beavers in game one by stopping a career-high 56 saves and earned her first career shutout in the tie. Hogenson started just one game in net over the weekend and for the second consecutive week was awarded the WCHA Goaltender of the Week.

Bemidji State’s lone goal in the series was scored by fifth-year senior Paige Beebe who now leads the team with four goals on the season. Senior Graysen Myers earned the primary assist on the goal and paces the team with seven points off of three goals and four assists this season. Beebe and junior Reece Hunt are second on the team in scoring with six points each while Hunt paces the team with five assists.

Sophomore Taylor Nelson is fourth on the team with four points off of a goal and three assists while fifth-year senior Lydia Passolt follows with three points off of a goal and two assists.

Five of the Beavers’ seven defenseman who have dressed this season are freshman and freshman Makenna Deering paces the blueline with two points (2a).
