BSU returns to NSIC action at St. Cloud State and hosts Minnesota Duluth

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team returns to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action after going 1-1 in the Lynda Goodrich Classic last weekend in Bellingham, Wash. The Beavers will first travel to St. Cloud State University for a 5:30 p.m., Thursday game. Then hosts (RV) University of Minnesota, Duluth Saturday, with a 1 p.m., tip-off at the BSU Gymnasium.

St. Cloud State leads the all-time series against Bemidji State, 48-18.
The Beavers and Huskies last met Feb. 19, 2022, a 67-57 win by SCSU in Bemidji.
SCSU leads the series when played in St. Cloud, 22-2. 
Bemidji State and St. Cloud State first met Jan. 2, 1969, resulting in a Beaver victory.

The Series vs Minnesota Duluth

Minnesota Duluth leads the all-time series against Bemidji State, 78-30.
The Beavers and Bulldogs last met Feb. 17, 2022, a 76-54 win by UMD in Duluth.
UMD leads the series when played in Bemidji, 37-26.

The Beavers return to NSIC action after going 1-1 in the Lynda Goodrich Classic last weekend in Bellingham, Wash. BSU won its first game against St. Martin’s University 67-46 in the classic, then falls to No. 13 Western Washington University 50-68.

Fifth-year senior Trinity Yoder made the Lynda Goodrich Classic All-Tournament Team averaging 12.5 points per game.  Freshman Alyssa Hill recorded her first career double-double against SMU with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Beavers are averaging 68 points per game ninth in the NSIC with Yoder leading the team with 17.2 ppg and fourth in the NSIC

Sam Pogatchnik leads BSU and is second in the NSIC in rebounds with 9.4 per game. The Beavers are averaging 41.6 rebounds a game, second in the NSIC. BSU is fourth in the NSIC with assists with 76. Yoder is tied for first in the conference with 22 averaging 4.4 a game.

Bemidji State is ninth in the NSIC in scoring offense and 10th in scoring defense. BSU is 11th in field goal percentage (.400) and jumped to ninth in 3-point field goal percentage (.323). The Beavers are 10th in turnovers and ninth in assist to turnover ratio.
