The Bemidji State Beavers opened the NSIC Conference baseball tournament Wednesday, beating the #1 seeded St Cloud State Huskies 9-3 in St Cloud.
Phil Bray got the win in the game, going eight innings, giving up just six hits. He threw 142 pitches on the day.
Zach Braun went 3-for-5 at the plate. Trevor Pervis and Jaryd Marks each had two hits.
The Beavers will now face the Winona State Warriors on Thursday at 2pm in St Cloud.
