Football – Beavers Win Regular Season Finale, Post Season Still Possible

The Bemidji State football team sputtered early, but rallied for 17 fourth quarter points en route to a 31-12 win over Minnesota Crookston on Saturday.

The Beavers turned the ball over twice in the first half, but got two turnovers from Crookston in the second half.  Lance Rongstad rushed for a game high 162 yards on the ground (a BSU quarterback record) and two touchdowns.

Bemidji State finishes the regular season with an 8-3 record.  The D2 Playoff field will be announced on Saturday.  If MSU-Mankato makes the playoffs, BSU could be selected for the Mineral Water Bowl.  If MSU-Mankao does not make the playoffs, they will go to the MWB.
