Bemidji State University junior Emily Turner (Windom, Minn.) turned in a 19:23 and placed 21st individually to lead the BSU cross country team Friday at the Randy Smith Invitational. The Beavers placed sixth.

The Beavers team score of 142 left the team 18 points behind Concordia College (Minn.) for fifth place (124). University of Mary, which placed three of the top five finishers, took the team title with 30 points.

Molly Montonye of Minnesota State University, Moorhead, who clocked a time of 17:19 to shade the rest of the field by nine seconds, won the individual race.
