Bemidji State University forward Sarah Stram has been selected as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Offensive Player of the Week, announced today by league officials, after leading the BSU soccer team to victories over then-No. 18 Winona State University and Upper Iowa University, Oct. 24 and 26.

Stram had a hand in three of the Beavers’ four goals in a 2-0-0 NSIC weekend as the Beavers extending their unbeaten streak to seven games (6-0-1). The sophomore scored the Beavers’ lone goal in the 21st minute of a 1-0 victory over Winona State Friday before adding an assist and a game-wining penalty kick goal in the 49th minute of a 3-2 win over the Peacocks Sunday. Stram has a career-best five-match streak with at least a point and has seven goals and two assists during the streak and the Beavers are 9-0-0 this season when she scores.

The Beavers, now 9-6-1 overall and 8-4-1 in NSIC play, return to the road Friday for a 3 p.m. match up at University of Minnesota Duluth (7-9-0; 7-6-0 NSIC). BSU will wrap up its regular-season schedule Sunday versus St. Cloud State University (4-11-1; 3-9-1 NSIC). The 2014 finale is set for 1 p.m. at Chet Anderson Stadium.
