Bemidji State University women’s basketball hits the road once again this weekend to take on Winona State University and Upper Iowa University, Jan. 30-31. Game times are set for 6 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

Fast Break Bemidji State

Bemidji State hit the road this last weekend to take on then-No. 15 Northern State University and Minnesota State University Moorhead for its first set of two road weekends. The Beavers fell to both teams by scores of 72-44 and 94-74, respectively.
Freshman Afton Kuehndorf earned her first collegiate start in the Beavers loss to Northern State, scoring three points in her 17 minutes of action.
The Beavers were paced by redshirt freshman Sierra Senske on the weekend averaging 18.5 points per game including 23 points against MSU Moorhead Saturday. She has now led BSU’s single-game scoring 11 times this season.
Senske now ranks 11th in the league for scoring with a 14.8 average after 19 games played and ranks fourth in field goal percentage, posting a 51.9 rating.
On the weekend, Senske shot 42.3 percent (11-of-26) and 88.2 percent (15-17) from the foul line.
BSU recorded its best free throw percentage of the season going 18-for-20 (90%) from the foul line against the Dragons.
The Beavers are currently shooting 40 percent from the floor and 29.6 percent from three-range.
BSU is shooting 72.3 percent from the foul line to rank 10th in the league.
Allison Cordes not only leads the Beavers in assists with a 3.2 per game average, she ranks in the top-10 amongst the league-best. Cordes also ranks eighth in assist/turnover ratio (1.4).
