We are proud to introduce a brand new audio feature to the Beaver Radio Network website this year, “This Week in WCHA Women’s Hockey” produced by Kelly Schultz, the “Voice of Bemidji State Women’s Hockey.”

Each week, Schultz will recap the WCHA women’s hockey games from the previous week, preview the upcoming games and discuss the national polls. “This Week in WCHA Women’s Hockey” will feature audio highlights from coaches, players and play-by-play announcers from around the league.

For many years, Jim Rich produced “This Week in the WCHA” for the WCHA men’s league. That show inspired Schultz to create something to help promote the women’s league and create excitement for the growing sport of women’s hockey.

“I’ve always wanted to do a show like this about the premiere women’s hockey conference in the country,” says Schultz who enters her 10th season of play-by-play this Friday night when Bemidji State opens up at Syracuse.
