The Bemidji State women’s hockey team has been off since December 10th, sweeping RIT in New York. Brittni Mowat was in line for a shutout, making 21 saves through the 53 minutes of play, but Kathryn Kennedy found the back of the net to get the Tigers on the board late.

Abby Halluska tacked on a second power-play goal at the 15:58 mark to settle the score at 5-1.

Mowat improved to 7-10-1, totaling 30 saves in 59:28 in the crease.

The Beavers, now 8-11-1 overall and 4-11-1 in Western Collegiate Hockey Association play, take just over a month off for winter break. BSU returns to action Jan. 12-13 when it travels to Columbus, Ohio to battle Ohio State University in a two-game league series.
