Beaver Fever Friday – Women’s Hockey – Kerigan Dowhy

Bemidji State women’s hockey has this weekend off before traveling to Mankato, Minn., to face Minnesota State University, Mankato Feb. 2-3.

BSU is coming off a fantastic weekend where they took the No. 1 Wisconsin Badgers through a pair of overtime games. The Beaver scored a combined 6 goals on the weekend, falling 4-3 on Friday in overtime, then tied the Badgers 3-3 Saturday but lost the shootout. The Beavers became the first team in WCHA play this season to earn a point against Wisconsin in that game which also snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Badgers dating back to Jan. 17, 2015.

Emily Bergland, Clair DeGeorge and Paige Beebe all scored for the Beavers while freshman goaltender Kerigan Dowhy stopped 28-of-31 shots by Wisconsin.
