The Bemidji State Mens Hockey team will open the season with an exhibition game against longtime rival Lakehead University out of Thunder Bay. Lakehead and BSU played in the International Collegiate Hockey Association in the ’60’s and ’70’s. BSU has nine new freshman and one transfer this season, so early season playing time is important.

Current NCAA Exhibition game rules allow for teams to play every player on the roster. Expect to see some experimentation in line combinations and special teams units.
