WCHA Final Five Thoughts
Some people are saying that this is the worst Final Five ever.  Those same people, I'm guessing, thought the Frozen Four in 2009 was the worst one ever.

This isn't anything against Bemidji State.  In 2009, imagine a Frozen Four with Notre Dame instead of Bemidji State.  From a NATIONAL standpoint, Notre Dame is "sexier"...without a doubt.

Now, imagine Nebraska Omaha at the Frozen Four...with Dean Blais.  From a NATIONAL standpoint, UNO has more fan interest...without a doubt.

From a ticket-buying standpoint, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, St. Cloud and Duluth plus any other school would be the "ideal" Final Five.  Well, from that list, no Minnesota.  No Wisconsin.  No St. Cloud.  Instead we have Bemidji State, Alaska Anchorage and CC.

I'm personally looking forward to this year's tournament.  "Fresh blood" is good.  We have a "fresh" format this year...why not "fresh" teams too?

Now, a piece of advice to Beaver fans.  With no Minnesota, Wisconsin or St. Cloud in the tournament...let's pack the X!

Also, with Minnesota and Wisconsin (and their budgets) not able to play their way into the tournament...cherish this trip for what it's worth!
