It's an understatement that Bemidji State played well this weekend.

It's also an understatement to say that Matt Read is a good hockey player.  Same for Dan Bakala.

Read scored twice on Saturday, and Bakala was named the tournament's MVP.  BSU has won five of their last seven games (only losing two cose games at Wisconsin) and have moved their record to 7-10-1.

If BSU can kill penalties like they did this weekend...get secondary scoring...and hot goaltending...home ice isn't out of the question for the playoffs.

Then again, the Beavers have to play AT Omaha, Mankato, Tech (for Winter Carnival) and North Dakota yet...the schedule isn't very kind to the Beavers for the second half!

In short...Beavers VERY good this weekend...roads VERY bad this weekend!
