Beavers Win Mariccu Classic, 3-1 Over Union

Bemidji State got two goals from Matt Read, and 30 saves from Dan Bakala en route to a 3-1 win over the 12th ranked Union College Dutchman, to claim the Mariucci Classic title.
BSU earned their first win in six meetings over Union. The Dutchman were 1-5 on the power play after scoring on a 34.1% clip on the man advantage entering the game.
BSU will travel to Huntsville Friday and Saturday to play the Charges in a pair of non-conference games.
