Men Battle, Lose At Gophers

Sophomore forward David Berthene scored a game-high 21 as the Bemidji State University men's basketball team fell to University of Minnesota 71-58 in an exhibition game at Williams Arena Tuesday. BSU ended the game shooting 10-for-25 (40%) from 3-point land, while the Gophers shot just 1-for-7 from beyond the arc.
The Gophers led by as many as 19 before BSU closed the lead to seven with six minutes to play.
The Beavers will play in Colorado next as the compete in the NSIC/RMAC Cross-over November 11 and 12.
