After falling 5-2 on Friday night in Crookston to #6 UND, the Bemidji State women's hockey team battled back Saturday night for a 3-2 win at the Sanford Center. It was the fourth time this season BSU has knocked off a nationally ranked opponent.

The Beavers scored three goals in the first period. Lauren Williams got things started for BSU, Kimberly Lieder followed with her 2nd goal of the season and Emily Erickson scored the game winner. Goaltender Zuzana Tomcikova stopped 45 Fighting Sioux shots on net.

Kelly Schultz had a chance to catch up with senior forward Kimberly Lieder after the game. This is what Kim had to say about the big win over rival North Dakota. Click here to hear the interview.

The Beavers are 7-1-1 in game two of weekend series and 5-1-1 at the Sanford Center this season.

Bemidji State improves their record to 10-5-2 overall and are now 6-5-1-1 in the WCHA.

The Beavers are off until the weekend of December 9th and 10th when they host the #1 Wisconsin Badgers.
