BEMIDJI, Minn. - In its last game of the season the Bemidji State University women's basketball fell 73-59 against Winona State University Saturday in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest played at the BSU Gymnasium. Freshman Jessi Corrick (G, Grand Rapids, Minn.) led the team with 13 total points for BSU. The contest was the last game for seniors Taylor Davis (F, Crookston, Minn.) and Samantha Baldwin (G, St Thomas, N.D.) after four years with the Beavers. Davis scored two total points in 22 minutes of play and Baldwin scored 11 points and four rebounds in 37 minutes.

Corrick led the team with 13 points and four assists. Sophomore Morgan Lee (G, Hayward, Minn.) scored 12 points for BSU and got three rebounds. BSU finished the game with 14 total assists and 23 rebounds. The first half of the game the Beavers made 5-of-5 free throws but only made two out of three in the second leaving them with an 87.5 free throw percentage.

The first 15 minutes of the game both teams were neck-and-neck. Neither team was able to shake off the other by more than a few points. The Beavers were never too far behind the Warriors until the end of the first half when a late 3-pointer put the score 40-31 to in WSU's favor.

In the second half of the contest the Beavers were never able to get ahead of the Warriors, as WSU was able to keep a wide gap between the teams. BSU got as close as six points with 14:50 left in the second half after a three pointer by Melissa Borstner (G, East Bethel, Minn.), but that was as close a the Beavers would get, en route to the 14 point lead.

Bemidji State finished their season with a record of 9-18 overall and an NSIC record of 7-15.
