Beavers set for Roy Griak Invitational Saturday, Sept. 28
The Bemidji State University cross country program heads to Falcon Heights, Minn., Saturday, Sept. 28 for the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by University of Minnesota. The Beavers will send nine student-athletes to race in the 6,000-meter course which begins at 11:10 a.m.
Sophomore Ryne Prigge led the Beavers’ squad during the first meet of the season Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Dragon Twilight. Prigge finished 14th overall with a time of 14:52.8 in the 4K while senior Kristen Petron placed 24th with a time of 15:28.5. Freshman Lily Johnson (47th), junior Ashley Herdering (50th), freshman Emma Realing (52nd), and sophomore Allyna Storms (54th) all finished within eight spots of each other while freshman Mckenzie Evans (60th) and junior Carissa Decko (91st) rounded out the Beavers’ runners.
BSU’s top seven finishers all set personal record times in the 4K race while the team took sixth as a unit overall.
