Four Beavers post top-10 finishes to lead Men’s Golf team to King’s Walk title
Seniors Will Czeh and Chris Swenson each posted rounds of 138 (69-69) to tie for second individually and lead the Bemidji State University men’s golf team to its first team title of the season at the King’s Walk Invite at the King’s Walk Golf Course in Grand Forks, N.D.
The Beavers totaled a team score of 574 (289-285), two-under par, to take the team title by two strokes over Concordia College-Moorhead. Four Beavers posted scores in the top-10 of the tournament while Brandon Nelson tied for sixth (70-74=144) competing as an individual and Ben Corbid tied for eighth (73-72=145).
Junior Tanner Sperling tied for 28th with a score of 153 (78-75) while freshman Seth Schricker rounded out the Beavers’ top five scorers with 164 (81-83). Behind Nelson, junior Diego Echeveste tied for 18th with a 149 (75-74) competing as an individual while TJ Raden (81-76=157), Aaron Schnathorst (76-83=159) and Gus Vatnsdal (82-83=165) rounds out the Beavers’ scorers.
The Beavers have a week off from action and will compete next at the Kentucky Wesleyan Panther Invitational at the Pearl Club in Owensboro, Ky., Sept., 29-30.
