Bemidji State Men’s and Women’s Golf travels to Waterloo for Upper Iowa Invite
Both the Bemidji State University Men’s and Women’s Golf teams will travel to Waterloo, Iowa this weekend to compete in the Upper Iowa Invite hosted by Upper Iowa University. Each team will compete in the two-day, 36-hole tournament held at Sunnyside Country Club from April 2-3.
The Bemidji State men’s golf team wastes no time in returning to action after having competed at the Central Region Preview Mar. 29-30 in Kansas City, Mo. Senior Tanner Sperling and freshman Koby Kuenzel led the Beavers to a 10th place finish after the pair each shot 156 at the 36-hole event. Junior Ben Corbid finished just three strokes behind Sperling and Kuenzel and tied for 56th individually after totaling 159 while redshirt senior Chris Swenson (161) and senior Brandon Nelson (161) each rounded out the Beavers’ top five scorers.
Sunnyside Country Club is a par-72, 6,471-yd for men and 5,284-yd for women golf course.
