Beavers host Huskies for final home games then travel to Minnesota Crookston
The Bemidji State University softball team will host its final home games of the 2022 season Wednesday by hosting St. Cloud State University for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader at Chet Anderson Stadium beginning at 2 p.m.
The Beavers will then hit the road Thursday and travel to University of Minnesota, Crookston for a doubleheader against the Golden Eagles also at 2 p.m.
Bemidji State is 10-32 on the season and is in a battle for the 10th and final spot in the NSIC Softball Tournament with a 7-15 league record. The Beavers are currently 11th in the standings and are two games behind 10th ranked Southwest Minnesota State University.
The Beavers are led by freshman Mariah Stevenson who is leading the team in batting average (.317), slugging percentage (.447), on-base percentage (.387), RBI (18) and doubles (11).
Senior Kaidron McClafferty paces the Beavers’ pitching staff with a 3.91 ERA and is 4-12 this season with 21 appearances. She is followed by sophomore Stella Dolan who has an ERA of 4.17 in 29 appearances and is 5-14 this season.
