Beaver Women’s Hockey Gameday Blog – Game 6 – Oct. 8, 2022 at Minnesota

The Bemidji State University women’s hockey team fell to No. 2 University of Minnesota, 6-0, Friday night to begin Western Collegiate Hockey Association play at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minn. Gophers (1-0-0, 1-0-0 WCHA) dominated the scoreboard and out-shot the Beavers (2-2-1, 0-1-0 WCHA) 46-16 in the game.

Junior goaltender Hannah Hogenson recorded 40 saves in the game for her highest total of the season.

Peyton Hemp, Abigail Boreen and Abbey Murphy each scored two goals in the game while Madeline Wethington recorded three assists.

Minnesota’s Makayla Pahl collected the 17-save shutout.

Bemijdi State will attempt to salvage a series split tomorrow afternoon when the two teams meet again at 2:00 p.m.
