Beavers to compete in multiple meets this week

BSU will visit California for two meets and compete in Minnesota for another

The Bemidji State University Women’s Track and Field team will be busy this week getting the chance to compete in a couple of different meets. The Beavers will visit California this Thursday through Saturday to enter in the Cal State LA Twilight Open and Bryan Clay Invitational. Then on Saturday back in Minnesota, the Beavers will compete in the Saint Mary’s Invitational in Winona.

BSU will be sending a small group to California. On Thursday in the Cal State LA Twilight Open, Tierra Doss, Natalie Fultz, Lexi Erickson and Abby Syverson will compete. Still on Thursday at Bryan Clay, Mary Goodwin will compete. On Friday at Bryan Clay, Doss and Syverson will compete. On Saturday at Bryan Clay, Doss, Fultz, Erickson and Goodwin will compete.

A big group will compete in the Saint Mary’s Invitational. The Beavers will be sending Abbie Disbrow, Alaina Hall, Olivia Olson, Josie Aitken, Amanda Smith, Maggie McCarthy, Nadia Vaughn, Carol Miller, Callie Ressler, Lily Johnson, Anastasia Klein, Alyssa Hill, Zayda Priebe, Cassidy Schmidt, Alexis Gehrig and Mikenna Pattrin.

Doss will be competing in the shot put and discus on Thursday, the discus on Friday and then the shot put on Saturday in two different meets. Fultz will compete in the 400-meter hurdles and high jump on Thursday and then the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday. Erickson will enter in the 800-meter on Thursday and then the 1,500-meter on Saturday. Syverson will compete in the 200-meter on Thursday and then the 800-meter on Friday. Goodwin will open the week on Thursday in the steeplechase and then on Saturday enter the 1,500-meter.

Then on Saturday at the Saint Mary’s Invitational. Disbrow will enter in the 100-meter and the triple jump. Hall will compete in the 100-meter and long jump. Olson will enter in the 100-meter and pole vault. Aitken will compete in the 200-meter and the 400-meter. Smith will enter in the 200-meter and the javelin. McCarthy will compete in the 800-meter and 1,500-meter. Miller will enter in the 800-meter an the 1,500-meter. Vaughn will also compete in the 800-meter and the 1,500-meter. Ressler will compete in the 1,500-meter and the steeplechase. Johnson will compete in the 400-meter hurdles and the javelin. Klein will compete in the pole vault. Hill will enter in the shot put and the discus. Priebe will compete in the shot put and discus. Schmidt will also enter in the shot put and discus, along with the hammer. Gehrig will compete in the discus, hammer and javelin. Pattrin will compete in the hammer and javelin.
