Beavers head to Twin Ports Open Saturday
Bemidji State will compete in the Twin Ports Open, hosted by Wisconsin-Superior Saturday
The Bemidji State University Track and Field team heads to Superior, Wis. Saturday to take part in the Twin Ports Open hosted by University of Wisconsin Superior.
Before the winter break, the Beavers competed in the Battle for the Paddle and the Dakota Alumni Classic. BSU grabbed the Paddle with a team win over St. Cloud State University on Dec. 7. At the Dakota Alumni Classic, multiple Beavers dominated the track and field. Karina Olson landed in the top five of the 60-meter hurdles, taking fourth with a time of 8.80. Olivia Olson grabbed seventh in the pole vault at a height of 3.25 meters and Mikenna Pattrin took ninth with a weight throw of 16.14 meters.
Following this weekend’s trip to Superior, the Beavers head to Moorhead, Minn. for the Cobber Open on Jan. 25 and to Grand Forks, N.D. on Jan. 31 for the University of North Dakota Open. Fast forward to the end of February, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship is set for Feb. 28 and Mar. 1 in Mankato, Minn.
