James Ellisor scored 25 points, as BSU beat the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs 85-72. The Beavers have now reached 10 wins in 13 games, the fastest since the 1973-74 squad found double-digits in the win column in their 12th contest and was 11-2 through 13 games.
After trailing 4-2 two minutes into the contest, the Beavers rattled off a 9-0 run to own a seven point advantage at 11-4 with 16:09 to play in the first half. The Beavers got four points from Ellisor during the run, while Dermaine Crockrell (Jr., G, Mesa, Ariz.) dropped a 3-pointer and junior Mason Walters (F, Milton, Wis.) converted on a lay-up.
Ellisor got his 25 points on 10-for-15 (66.7%) shooting from the field. He added five rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes of play. Walters added 13 points and nine rebounds, while Tesdahl posted 11 points and six assists. BSU shot 52.7 percent from the field to post its best shooting performance in conference play this season. The Beavers continued to take care of the ball, by committing just eight turnovers to prove its No. 3 national ranking in turnovers per game.
The Beavers now turn their attention to the road with a tough NSIC weekend at No. 21 Augustana College and Wayne State College Jan. 7-8.
