This past weekend, the Bemidji State women’s hockey team wrapped up the regular season at St. Cloud. The Beavers swept the Huskies with a 3-2 win Friday night and a 6-1 victory Saturday night.
BSU broke two school records during the weekend. Friday’s win was the Beavers 16th win of the season which is now the most wins in program history. Then on Saturday, Bemidji State scored 5 powerplay goals which broke their previous record for most extra attacker goals in a single game and was one shy of breaking an NCAA record.
Bemidji State finishes the regular season with an overall record of 17-15-3 and a 11-15-2-0 record in WCHA play.
The Beavers take on the University of North Dakota in the first round of the WCHA playoffs. The best of three series begins Friday, February 24th at 2:37pm in Grand Forks, ND. The series continues on Saturday, February 25th and if a Game 3 is needed, it will be played on Sunday, February 26th.
