The Bemidji State baseball team (12-8 / 5-1 NSIC) swept the UMD Bulldogs Saturday at the BSU Baseball Field, winning 3-1 and 7-6. The Beavers won both games in their last at bat. In game one, BSU only got three hits…all three in the bottom of the sixth inning, and scored all three of their runs. Phil Bray improved to 5-1 with the win.
In game two, BSU led early, but UMd rallied to tie the game at 6-6 to the ninth. BSU loaded the bases and Juan Molero scored the winning run with a sac fly in the bottom of theframe.
Caleb Dingman got the win in game two.
The two teams will finish the series at the BSU Baseball Field on Sunday afternoon. Both games can be heard on the Beaver Radio Network.
