This is from the International Falls Daily Journal…Drew Fisher will transfer to BSU, and will have to sit out next season (NCAA transfer rules).
Drew Fisher, who appeared in 14 games for the University of Minnesota men’s hockey team this season, has decided to transfer to Bemidji State University. Fisher confirmed his decision Wednesday.
Fisher, who tallied two assists in 26 games as a freshman and recorded one assist in 14 games as a sophomore, will have to sit out a full academic year due to an NCAA transfer rule, but he’ll have two years of eligibility remaining when he returns to the ice.
Fisher joins a BSU squad fresh off a Cinderella season after becoming the lowest ranked team to ever advance to the Frozen Four.
International Falls graduate Ryan Cramer, a sophomore, is also on the squad.
