The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team is set to open the New Year at home playing host to Minot State University and University of Mary, Jan. 2-3. Game times are set for 6 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
BSU is 4-6 all-time against Minot State with a series dating back to Dec. 9, 1988. Minot State currently holds a two-game win streak as it took both games during the 2013-14 season by scores of 94-84 and 74-66.
U-Mary holds a 13-3 edge over the Beavers that dates back to Nov. 30, 1984. The last meetings between the teams came during the 2013-14 season where BSU fell in a double overtime game 89-83 and 71-67.
The Bemidji State women’s basketball team ended its 2014 portion of the season Dec. 19 as it took on HWY 2 rival University of Minnesota Crookston. Beavers won the second half back and forth battle to head into break with a 71-69 victory over the Golden Eagles.
