Much has been made of the fact that BSU is now “Ready for the WCHA” because they beat the Gophers. I disagree. BSU was ready before this weekend.

It’s a different animal playing in the WCHA. You have to be “ready” 28 nights a year. It’s easier for BSU to “get ready” to play the big boys 8 or 10 times a year. Try it every weekend.

BSU has the talent to compete and stay in games. Minnesota might be down this season, but count the draft picks. The talent pool at Minnesota is still pretty big.

My player of the weekend is Jamie MacQueen. I thought he played great Saturday night too (not just Sunday when he scored twice).
