The Bemidji State University football team continued its five-game win streak, its longest such streak in nine years, Saturday in a 28-27 win against St. Cloud State University in Chet Anderson Stadium. The Beavers (5-3, 4-0 NISC North) beat the Huskies (4-4, 2-2 NSIC North) for the first time in two years and did so by one point for the first time since 1950.
The Beavers totaled 474 yards on the day compared to 573 for the Huskies. Bemidji State put up 222 yards on the ground and 252 through the air. BSU took advantage of red zone opportunities, scoring on two attempts inside the 20-yard line.
Tesch goes for career-win 125 next week while leading Bemidji State in the Battle of the Beavers against Minot State University at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 in Minot, N.D.
