Video – Beaver Fever Friday – Nicole Crummy – Track

Senior Nicole Crummy broke the Bemidji State University indoor mile run record at The Opener in Duluth, Minn. Saturday, clocking a time of 5:21.39, to surpass former Beaver Christa Pribula’s time of 5:22.73 (2004). Bemidji State finished with a team score of 63 points to take third place.

Crummy’s first-place finish in the mile was just one of three events in which the Beavers placed first. Senior Sara Melom finished with a time of 41.96, good for first place in the 300-meter dash. Bemidji State’s team of Melom, Crummy, Emeline Sevila and Nicole Anderson had a time of 4:08.80 to finish first in the 4×400-meter relay.

Bemidji State returns home to host the Super 8 Open Jan. 16 at the Gillett Recreation-Fitness Center in Bemidji, Minn.
