The No. 7 Bemidji State women’s hockey team fell to No. 3 University of Minnesota 2-1 in overtime, Saturday afternoon. Junior Brittni Mowat made 42-of-44 saves to lead the Beavers while Lauren Miller added the goal for BSU.
With the loss the Beavers fall to 17-9-2 (12-9-1 WCHA) while the Gophers improve to 24-3-0 (19-3-0 WCHA). BSU will travel to St Cloud State this weekend. With a sweep, BSU will wrap up home ice in the first round of the WCHA playoffs.
