The Bemidji State University women’s tennis team will travel to Bismarck N.D., this weekend for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches. The Beavers will take on Minnesota State University Moorhead at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 2. BSU will finish the weekend against University of Mary on Sunday, April 3, at 9 a.m.
Last year the Beavers dropped a close match to U-Mary, 5-4, on March 28, 2015. That same day, the BSU women’s tennis team fell to MSU Moorhead, 7-2. The Beavers are 5-7 all-time against U-Mary and 7-21 all-time against MSU Moorhead.
The Beavers are 8-4 overall and 3-4 in conference play after taking a pair of nonconference matches in River Falls, Wis., this past weekend. Bemidji State women’s tennis defeated University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, 8-1, Friday, March 11. The Beavers also took their final match of the weekend, 8-1, against University of Wisconsin-River Falls later that day.
The Beavers next match will take place in New Ulm, Minn. April 8, against Martin Luther College. BSU will then travel to Owatonna, Minn., to take on Minnesota State University, Mankato and Southwest Minnesota State University, April 9-10.
