The Bemidji State volleyball team won two of their four matches over the weekend at the Sioux Falls Invite. They had wins over MN Crookston and South Dakota School of Mines. Bemidji State’s Jess Yost and Amanda Tronick led the way.

Senior outside hitters Amanda Tronick and Jessica Yost combined for 57 kills Saturday. The Beavers have four new freshman. One of those freshman is Julie Touchett.

Bemidji State begins Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play next weekend, beginning with the program’s home opener Thursday, Sept. 15 against St. Cloud State University. BSU will follow up with a trip to University of Minnesota Duluth Saturday, Sept. 17.
