The Bemidji State Womens Hockey team lost twice this past weekend in a home-and-home with North Dakota. On Friday, Freshman Abby Halluska tallied her first goal as a Beaver at 8:29 in the second to bring the Beavers within two but with just 3:23 remaining, only to fall 5-2. On Saturday, the Beavers lost 2-0, with the Fighting Hawks scoring an empty net goal late int he third. Senior goaltender Brittni Mowat turned aside 22 of the 23 shots she faced Saturday.
The Beavers fall to 4-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in WCHA play. BSU now hits the road for a two-game league series at No. 1 University of Wisconsin, Nov. 5-6. The series will get underway at 2:07 p.m. Saturday with the finale set for 1:07 p.m. Sunday in Madison, Wis.
