Savanah Olson and Samara Tobeck each placed in throwing events Saturday as the Bemidji State University track and field team participated in the Cobber Duals.
In all four BSU athletes posted season-best marks, while three placed among the top eight in their respective events.
Olson led all BSU participants posting a sixth-place finish in the shot put, stretching the tape to 38 feet, nine inches. In addition, Samara Tobeck earned eighth place in the weight throw, posting a distance of 45-04.50.
Madison Kealy headlined BSU runners with an eighth-place finish in the 800-meter run. Her time of two minutes, 43.82 seconds stands as a season-best in the event.
In addition, Sarone Paulzine recorded a season-best time in the 400-meter dash (1:07.06), Courtney Anderson logged a season-best in the 3,000-meter run (13:34.49 and Genavieve Baklund posted season-best 35-05.75 in the shot put.
The Beavers will be in action again Feb. 4 when they travel to Duluth, Minn. for the Lake Superior Challenge.
