The Bemidji State University women’s hockey team scored two goals against No. 1 University of Wisconsin but fell 4-2 after the Badgers scored two-unanswered goals in the third period.
The Beavers (9-16-3, 5-16-3 WCHA) and Badgers (26-2-1, 21-2-1 WCHA) were tied at two after two periods. Bemidji State junior Summer Thibodeau led the Beavers with a goal and assist in the game while junior Alexis Joyce tallied the other goal for BSU. Freshman Abby Halluska tallied one assist for the final point for the Beavers.
Bemidji State will play its first road series since Jan. 13-14 when they travel to St. Cloud State Univeristy, Feb. 10-11. Puck drop for both games is scheduled for 3:07 p.m.
