The Bemidji State University women’s golf team placed eighth at the Tracy Lane Memorial hosted by the Beavers at the Bemidji Town and Country Club in Bemidji, Minn. The Beavers were led by senior Katy Woelfel who carded a total score of 163 (+19) to tie for 14th over the two-round tournament.

The Beavers finished the tournament by totaling 695 as a team. Minnesota State University, Mankato took home the top honor by tallying a total score of 645 while Minot State University and Winona State University weren’t far behind, tying for second with a total score of 648.
Behind Woelfel was sophomore Erica Gartner who carded 174 (+30) followed by freshmen Elise and Lauren Stockmoe at 179 (+35) each. Sophomore Mckenna Blaine tallied 198 (+54) to round out the Beaver scoring.
Sophie Hill from Concordia University-St. Paul took home the top individual honor after compiling a two-day score of 149 (+5).
The Beavers will be in action again September 17-18 by competing at the Concordia-St. Paul Fall Classic at the Edinburgh Golf Course in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
