Beavers continue week at NDSU Tune Up

Beavers sending 12 student-athletes to compete

Coming off the midweek meet at St. Thomas, the Bemidji State University Women’s Track and Field team will continue the week traveling to Fargo, N.D., to compete in the NDSU Tune Up this Friday.

Josie Aitken, Abbie Disbrow, Lexi Erickson, Alyssa Hill, Maggie McCarthy, Olivia Olson, Mikenna Pattrin, Zayda Priebe, Callie Ressler, Cassidy Schmidt, Abby Syverson and Nadia Vaughn will all make the trip to Fargo.

Aitken keeps her busy week going entering in the 400-meter. She recently set a new personal-best in the event on Wednesday with a time of 1:00.31.

Disbrow will compete in the triple jump. Disbrow hit a season high distance of 32-11 in the event during Saint Mary’s.

Erickson will compete in both the 800-meter and the 1,500-meter. Erickson recently set her PR in the 800 at Kip Janvrin with a time of 2:16.15. During Bryan Clay, Erickson added a PR time of 4:38.65.

Hill will compete in the shot put and discus. Hill hit a new PR distance in the shot put during the Ron Masanz Classic with a throw of 36-4.75. To start the outdoor season, Hill reached 119-3 in the discus in Montana.

McCarthy will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. McCarthy set a PR time of 12:37.61 in the event at the Holst Invitational.

Olson will compete in the 100-meter and the pole vault. Olson recently hit a PR time of 12.77 in the 100-meter on Wednesday. She also set a season-best on Wednesday in the pole vault clearing 10-2.5.

Pattrin will compete in the shot put, hammer and javelin. Pattrin opened the outdoor season in Montana with a season-best throw of 36-10.25 in the shot put. It was a PR distance in the hammer at Saint Mary’s reaching 140-2. She recently set a PR in the javelin on Wednesday of 113-3.

Priebe will enter in the shot put and discus. Priebe hit a season-best in the shot put of 35-6 at the Holst Invitational. It was a PR distance of 127-3 in the discus at Ron Masanz.

Ressler will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She recently set a new PR in the event on Wednesday crossing at 13:07.70.

Schmidt will compete in the shot put, discus and hammer. It was a PR distance of 32-0.25 in the shot put at Ron Masanz. Schmidt opened the outdoor season with PR marks in both the discus at 113-11 and the hammer of 108-0.

Syverson will compete in the 100-meter and the 200-meter. This will be the first time Syverson has competed in the 100. She recently set a new PR time in the 200 at Ron Masanz crossing at 26.13.

Vaughn will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She posted a PR time of 12:47.38 in the event at the Holst Invitational.
