Bemidji State University women’s hockey sophomore Lydia Passolt scored two goals in the first period to lead the Beavers (8-13-1, 5-7-1-0 WCHA) to a 4-1 victory over University of Minnesota Duluth in game one of their WCHA series.
The win marks seventh consecutive win at home for the Beavers to extend its program record and BSU is now 7-0-1 in their last eight home games.
Redshirt sophomore Lauren Bench held to Bulldogs (7-10-2, 4-7-2-2 WCHA) to just one goal off of 30 shots for 29 saves and improves to 4-6-1 on the season. Sophomore Clair DeGeorge posted two assists in the game and now leads the Beavers with 13 points (6g-7a) while freshman Ellie Moser added a goal and assist to join DeGeorge and Passolt with two points.
