BSU Volleyball travels to MSU Moorhead and No. 9 Northern State
The Bemidji State University volleyball team continues its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference season on the road this weekend and travels to Minnesota State University, Moorhead and No. 9 Northern State University. The Beavers begin the weekend’s action Friday, Oct. 4 at the Dragons (5-7, 0-4 NSIC) and then travel to face the ninth-ranked Wolves (10-2, 3-1 NSIC) Saturday, Oct. 5.
MSU Moorhead: Friday’s clash with the Dragons will be the 134th meeting between the two programs, the most games the Beavers have faced versus an opponent. MSU-M holds the all-time series record at 76-56-1, are winners of the past seven matches and are 26-1 in the past 27 meetings. The Beavers and Dragons met twice last season where MSUM earned two victories in close, five-set matches in Moorhead and Bemidji. Beavers’ head coach Kevin Ulmer is 0-5 all-time coaching against the Dragons.
Northern State: Saturday’s meeting between the Wolves and Beavers will be the 71st of the all-time series dating back to 1985. The Wolves hold the series record at 37-33 and have won 12 consecutive matches in the series. Bemidji State and Northern State met twice last season and BSU fell in three sets in both matches. Beavers’ head coach Kevin Ulmer is 0-4 all-time coaching against the Wolves.
