The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team will host Wayne State College and Augustana University Dec. 13-14 at BSU Gymnasium for its first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference home games.
The Beavers open the weekend with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off Friday against the Wildcats.
The Series vs. Wayne State
- Wayne State leads the all-time series against Bemidji State, 33-14.
- The series began Feb. 6, 1993, a 92-91 win by Bemidji State.
- WSC has won four straight games against BSU, including an 85-71 decision last season in Wayne, Neb.
- The most recent Bemidji State win came Dec. 12, 2015, 68-65, in Wayne.
- Last season, junior center Taylor Bray scored a career-high 24 points against WSC, shooting 5-of-6 from the field and 14-of-14 from the free throw line in 20 minutes. Bray’s 14 consecutive free throws without a miss tied a program single-game record. Sophomore guard Trinity Myer scored in double-digits for the first time in her career with 11 points against WSC, also going perfect from the free throw line on six attempts.
- Bemidji State was swept during a road weekend with losses of 68-56 to Northern State University and 86-57 to No. 22 Minnesota State University Moorhead. The Beavers enter the weekend 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the NSIC.
- Wayne State comes off a weekend split following an 86-59 win against Upper Iowa University and a 76-73 loss to Winona State University. The Wildcats currently hold a 6-2 overall record and a 2-1 mark in the NSIC.
